MoneyHelper

This is the UK government’s free and impartial service to help you understand your pension options. MoneyHelper brings together the support and services of three government-backed financial guidance providers: the Money Advice Service, the Pensions Advisory Service and Pension Wise.

Citizens Advice 

They help people resolve their legal, money and other problems by providing free, independent and confidential advice, and by influencing policymakers. They will also be providing appointments for the UK Government’s free and impartial pensions guidance service - Pension Wise. Pension Wise is a service provided by MoneyHelper.

The Pensions Regulator 

The UK regulator of work-based pension schemes. ”Working to improve confidence in work-based pensions by protecting members' benefits and encouraging high standards and good practice in running pension schemes”.

Financial Conduct Authority  

An independent body that regulates the financial services industry in the UK.

Financial Services Compensation Scheme

The compensation fund and last resort for customers of financial services firms. The FSCS are independent and their service is free to use. They may pay compensation if a firm is unable to pay claims against it.

Department for Work and Pensions

Aims are to promote opportunity and independence for all, help individuals achieve their potential through employment and work to end poverty in all its forms.

The place to find government services and information on the state pension, state benefits and income tax.

Financial Ombudsman

An independent and impartial service to help in settling complaints between consumers and businesses providing financial services.

Equity Release Council

This industry body represents the majority of the equity release market in terms of volume and its members include the leading providers of lifetime mortgages and home reversion plans. Its aim is to ensure that equity release products are safe and reliable so that consumers can have confidence and peace of mind with equity release.
